A Vacation Day Along the Mississippi
My company doesn’t allow one to roll over vacation time. Use it or lose it! So, I’m taking it off and Monday was the first day of it. Drove south and west through the rolling countryside finding interesting things along the way.
The 17 is the widest angle I’ve ever used. Still not sure what to make of it sometimes.
OTOH at the wildlife refuge, i found myself wishing for a longer reach. Going to have to break down and buy that 300/4.5 AI-S in my Eprey watch list!
Still, lots of interesting things to see as the light changed through the day. I came back to a couple of places - one called horseshoe falls (no water this time of year) was rather fun to see that way.
Still, towards the end of the day, waiting for the supper club I’d had recommended to me opened, I was waiting in the town of Trempealeau. The bronze worked better than expected with the wide angle.
The river, a tow boat & a fast moving train while having a super wide mounted at sunset was an “interesting” challenge. I’m really fond of how they came out. Thanks for looking.
